19/02/2012 Letter from Paris:
“In Paris there was an important mobilization (with the participation of about 3.000 people).

We begun by a rally in the square of Human Rights (Trocadero) and continued with a demonstration towards the Greek embassy. There we had initially previewed to just make a stop. Yet, as we were more than estimated in the beginning we encircled it…

Then, we went to the FMI offices and ended in front of the Parliament.

More than twenty organizations, unions and associations called for this mobilization (see attachment – in French – to get an idea…). Yet, there were even more that actually joined us in the street.

This week we had already programmed a meeting (on Thursday) to see how we are going to continue, as the situation in Greece is not expected to get better in the weeks to come.. Yet, given this important participation we are going to call for a public meeting/discussion (we will know the exact place and time tomorrow).

I think that yesterday was an important step towards the coordinated struggle against the financial dictatorship put installed in Greece, in order for it to be exported in other European countries.”
