09:41 Today there is a general strike in Greece. There is two demonstrations in Athens today. One is called by PAME (CP affiliated union) in Omonoia at 10:30 and the other one is called by the unions, parties of the left and anarchist groups at Mouseio. The unions are demonstrating against cuts and the “planed abolition” of basic labour rights.

10:00 The following metro stations are closed as of now, due to orders of the police: Syntagma, Evangelismos, Akropoli, Panepistimio. Omonoia and Monastiraki stations still in operation, but will probably be closed soon
