On 19th day of Turkish resistance for democracy and freedom against the JDP government, after the harsh provocations of PM Erdogan in his party meeting today in Ankara, riot police attacked on Gezi Parkı at 20:50 this evening.
On 12 June midnight representatives of the Gezi resistance, Taksim Solidarity delivered 4 main demands of the movement to PM; however as the government continued to ignore the demands of the movement, Taksim Solidarity, after long and democratic grassroot discussions of the resisters decided to continue the resistance after the basic demands are accepted.This evening, after the provocations of PM Erdogan in his party meeting made in Ankara, riot police started a very hard attack on Gezi Parkı with tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets and blast bombs. There are hundreds of injured people. Police even attacked with rubber bullets against he first floor of Divan Hotel which is used as a temporary hospital and subway where people escaped and people are sending messages as: “We are dying here!”
We urge friends of Turkish movement, international community and humanity to start every efficient actions for stopping the massacring government and PM of Turkey.
This is very, very heavy. The international solidarity that I hope this will spark could itself lead to a global mobilisation of common struggles or a common will for complete systemic change.
There was a media blockade and today mainstreeam medai claims that park evacuated peacefull!!! They have massively attaccked masses including lost of kids and elderly,.. we need to build an international response on social media and on the streets!

LIVE FROM ISTANBUL: Today, following Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s extremely sectarian, separatist, and fictious speech in Ankara, around 9 PM, the Turkish police began to attack thousands of people who were at the Gezi Park and Taksim square, having dinner. There are kids under 4-5 years old, mothers, and old people among those who were under gas and pressurised water attack. According to reports, police doesn’t allow journalists to report or to take pictures from Gezi Park. They are also attacking with pressurised water against businesses such as the famous Divan Hotel that opened its doors to protestors running away from brutality. People are saying that there are thousands of wounded people inside of the hotel. People formed a human chain in front of the hotel to prevent police to attack. Another report says that people cannot leave the hotel because police is arresting whoever leaves. There are also unconfirmed reports that police shut down the metro and boats between Asia and Europe to stop people coming and joining the rest. Another report says that there is a jammer in the area to prevent TV stations’ broadcast. There are hundreds of wounded people. There are a lot of missing kids, or kids who are separated from their families. Protestors are fighting with the police in Sıraselviler, Cihangir, Harbiye, and most likely around Dolmabahçe and Maçka. People call it a total brutality, a real savagery that is going on tonight. What we are seeing is an ugly war where only one side has weapons.
